Following our report on rounds 1 & 2 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, here are the results from round 3.

Round 3

In the Eastern Conference final the most watched game was the Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins game 7 which had 5.1 million Ind. 2+ Canadians ​tuning on CBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports) — Of those, 98,000 have never watched any other NHL playoff game.  

In the Western Conference final the most watched game was Anaheim Ducks @ Nashville Predators game 6 with 2.6m Ind+2 Canadians watching on CBC & TVA Sports.

This and That

  • Through 3 rounds the NHL playoffs reached 79.4% of all Canadians.  Round 1 being the highest at 70.8% and 60% in round 2, however, round 3 with only one Canadian team remaining had a reach of 57.3%.
  • Edmonton had the highest reach with 89.2% while Vancouver had the lowest at 72.2% during all 3 rounds.
  • The most watched game still remains Game 2 round 1 Toronto @ Washington which had 3.6m Ind. 2+ in Canada on CBC.
